Why?

El Shaddai Compassionate One
My God who gave your only Son
To suffer on a cross to die
The question that I ask is why
You’d do this awesome thing for me
The one who nailed you to that tree
It was your love that led you there
Upon Golgotha’s Skull to bear
The penalty for all my sin
In order that I might begin
To know the love you have for me
You took my place and set me free
Perhaps when all time passes by
I’ll fully know the reason why.

What Broke God's Heart

Sin it’s said broke God’s heart
For it truly did set man apart
From God who yearned and grieved for man
Devised the perfect Divine plan
To restore man to his rightful place
And show the world God's wondrous grace
For sin had taken a deadly toll
By killing man’s eternal soul
Satan used it to deceive and kill
And took from man his own free will
He made man a slave to lust and greed
A worker of every perverted deed
In all this God’s great heart was rent
So His only begotten son He sent
To drink the cup His father gave
In order that man might be saved
The cup of wrath filled to the brim
Christ drank it all and took the grim
Penalty of sin to free man’s soul
He died the death, He went to Sheol
Until the victory was finally won
God was separated from His Son
This was really what broke God’s heart
God totally torn apart.

The Sweetest Song

Lord guide me in Jesus name
And let me sing a sweet refrain
A melody to touch your soul
A Godly song that wont grow old
A song inspired by your love
That’s sung by angels high above
A psalm that speaks of God’s own Son
And of the victory that He won
O’er the world, the flesh and Satan’s grasp
O’er sins future, present and past
He took sin’s power and made it null
Upon a hill known as the Skull
‘Twas there the sweetest song was sung
When Jesus uttered “it is done”.

The Saviour's Voice

My dear friend don’t you hear
The Savior’s voice who holds you dear
He’s calling you from heaven above
He sent his Spirit as a dove
To tell of judgment and convict of sin
And make a way to enter in
To God's throne in the Holy Place
By Christ's Blood, through His grace
The door is open don’t delay
The time is now, today’s the day
God is love we can all agree
But there’s another side you need to see
A Day is coming called Judgment Day
When Heaven and earth will flee away
To the rocks and hills man will cry aloud
Fall on us and become our shroud
Every idle word you say
You’ll account for on Judgment Day
You must decide what you'll do
For the Savior’s voice is calling you.

The Perfect Gift

The perfect gift of peace and love
Was sent to earth from God above
To call man from the depths he fell
And save him from a fiery hell
Where sinners who don’t know Christ mourn
And rue the day that they were born
In unending years of torment spent
Because of failure to repent
And accept God’s Son from above
The perfect gift of peace and love.

The Love of Jesus

Jesus you are the longing of my heart
To know your love, to be set apart
For your service and for your plan
I come to you just as I am
Please use me so all can see
The love you showed at Calvary
So great a love you had for me
You died and rose to set me free
From the grip of sin and Satan’s hold
With your blood you bought my soul
I don’t know what life has in store
But this I know; my sins you bore

The Greatest Miracle

Is there anything too hard for Him
The God that made an axe head swim
Who healed a blind man with some mud
And made the rod of Aaron bud
He led His people through the sea
And drowned the pursuing enemy
He fed five thousand with a prayer
And caused the Holy Veil to tear
Because of Jesus we enter in
The Most Holy Place without sin
And meet with Yahweh face to face
Due to Christ’s abundant grace
Of all the miracles God has done
This surely is the greatest one.

The God of Abraham

Do you know the God of Abraham
El Elyon, the great I Am
He’s called Yahshua and he can save
The spoils of Egypt Pharaoh gave
By El Shaddai he’s know to some
The nurturing God, the tender one
He's David’s precious Yah of Psalm
Of Gilead the Healing Balm
The Rose of Sharon won't depart
If you let this rose grow in your heart
The Rock of Ages he’s always been
Who came to earth to bear our sin
Our guilt our shame, he took our loss
And carried it upon his cross
He gave us hope and peace and love
He restored our friendship with God above
The Great Shepherd has many names
But forever and always he’s still the same
He’s known as Jesus to you and me
And with that name he sets men free.

The Coat of Many Colors

The coat of many colors
Was a story I was told
About a boy named Joseph
Who for jealousy was sold
Into slavery by his brothers
And brought to a distant land
Where pyramids and idols stood
In a land of palms and sand
The years he spent were lonely ones
Away from Jacob’s tent
Not knowing it was in God’s plan
To Egypt he be sent
To save the whole world from a drought
And the famine that would be
And bring his family to the land
To fulfill the prophecy
Four hundred years the Israelites
Would serve on Egyptian soil
Until a man named Moses came
And freed them from their toil
Because of a coat of many colors
That Jacob gave his son
The freedom of God’s people
By faith was finally won
Now you may think that this tale
Ended thousands of years ago
But here’s one thing that I think
That all of you should know
You never know the purposes
God has in each our lives
He doesn’t tell us everything
And many things he hides
Until we go through the trial
We only see in part
When coming out the other side
It’s then we see God’s heart.

It is Done

Do you know the love of Christ
Who paid for you the highest price
With suffering and agony
He bled upon a rugged tree
Men cursed and spit into his face
He died for you, he took your place
He did it willingly for you
To prove his love and start a new
Relationship with sinful man
For this has always been his plan
He woos you with his awesome love
God sent his wrath from up above
Upon his own beloved son
Who of God’s plan said
“It is done”

He's Calling You

Can you hear Him, He’s whispering
Come back to me, turn from your sin
There’s no iniquity that’s so great
That Jesus’ blood can’t expiate
I’ll forgive you then my child you’ll be
The price was paid at Calvary
The cost was great; my only Son
Return to me beloved one
For you are worth the price I paid
Upon my Son your sins were laid
For you my love my heart does yearn
Please come back, please return
If you only knew how I long for you
What I wish to give and want to do
To give you a new heart of flesh
And breathe my spirit into you afresh
What I did with Adam I’ll do with you
We’ll walk together in the morning dew
I’ll anoint your eyes so that you can see
And ears to hear, please heed my plea
I only have good will towards you
I have the power to make you new
Harden not your heart if you hear my voice
I will not force, it’s your free choice
You’re the jewel I long to cherish
It’s not my will that you should perish
So come to me and I’ll take your hand
And lead you into the Promised Land
As I was with Israel my chosen one
I’ll be with you til victory’s won.

God's Plan

On one day many years ago
To the cross God’s Son did go
On a dreadful hill called Calvary
He died to free humanity
Man nailed Him to a gruesome tree
And with that act saved you and me
From a horrible eternal grave
With a broken heart God’s Son he gave
To bleed and die in that wretched place
Causing God to hide his face
And separate Himself from Christ
Who paid the very highest price
His holy precious blood he shed
To bring mankind back from the dead
And with His great and glorious plan
God showed His wondrous love for man

God's Grace

Why did God leave His throne
To come to earth to make his home
He left His glory up above
Took human form to show His love
To a race of men who hated Him
He willingly took all their sin
The glorious crown that He had worn
He traded for a wreath of thorns
The abominations of men’s acts
God took and laid upon Christ’s back
To show to us His awesome grace
He let men spit into His face
They scourged his back and hit his head
Beat Him til He was almost dead
On Calvary He was crucified
And forgave those men before He died
Now we can boldly go to His throne
And call Heaven our eternal home

God Cares

Christian why are you so forlorn
Don’t you know that you were born
Of God above and you are blessed
And with His Spirit you’re possessed
Are you still carrying guilt and shame
God put on Christ your sin and blame
You are his prize, his love, his bride
Forever with him you’ll abide
Do life’s cares make you dismay
Cast them all on Christ today
His thoughts towards you no one can number
Your God above wont sleep or slumber
Do you think God would tell a lie
His Son hung on a cross to die
For evil men in their guilty state
Of pride, greed, lust and hate
Do you have hurts from years ago
Memories of pain and woe
Give them to God, he wants you to
He’ll heal your wounds and nurture you
In his bottle he’ll save every tear
He remembers them and holds each dear
He numbers the hairs upon your head
And watches you sleep while in your bed
Reach out to him, he’ll hear your prayers
He’s a God of love and for you he cares.

Hidden Treasure

There is a place I’ve been told
That bears the richest vein of gold
Where truth and wisdom do abound
It’s in God’s word it can be found
The word of God is quick and sure
And has the power to make one pure
It’s by God’s Spirit the sword is swung
All in its path will be undone
The sick the blind the lame are healed
When the word of God; Christ’s sword He wields
It has the power to make one whole
And has the truth to heal the soul
Just believe his word, it’s true you’ll find
It’s not of man but of God divine.

Blood And Water

Blood and water poured from Christ’s side
In order that we might abide
In Jesus and escape God’s wrath
Led by His Spirit in the path
That saints throughout the ages trod
In order that a loving God
Might save us from eternal Hell
And let us drink from His deep well
Of blood and water poured on the earth
To consummate mankind’s new birth
On Calvary the day Christ died
Blood mixed with water poured from His side
